CMR University’s Directorate of Research and Innovation is now inviting applications for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship, July 2026, a structured research opportunity open to early-career scholars across disciplines. Applications are open from 16th June to 15th July 2026.
For researchers who have recently completed their Ph.D. and are looking for a meaningful next step, this fellowship offers the environment, support and recognition to pursue independent work at an established university.
What the fellowship offers
The Post-Doctoral Fellowship at CMR University is open to scholars across Engineering, Basic Sciences, Management, Computer Application, Economics & Commerce, Humanities, Social Sciences and Law.
Fellows receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 70,000/- for one year. The fellowship is extendable annually, subject to performance review and research potential. Beyond the financial support, the programme is designed to give fellows a real research footing with faculty supervision, access to institutional resources and the academic credibility of a recognised fellowship.
Who can apply
The eligibility criterion is straightforward: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree completed within the last five years.
International scholars may also apply under the remote mode. Remote Mode fellows are not entitled to the monthly stipend but remain eligible for publication incentives, project-based honoraria and patent incentives as notified by the university.
What fellows are expected to do
The fellowship is designed for independent researchers, not passive participants. On-campus fellows are expected to demonstrate their research output through at least two publications in Scopus/SCI/SCIE/SSCI/ABDC-indexed journals, submit a minimum of two project proposals for external funding and contribute to academic support within their department or school for at least 8 hours per week through teaching or PG project guidance.
Remote Mode fellows are expected to carry out research under the supervision of CMR University faculty and meet the same publication benchmarks.
