CMR University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INTI International University, Malaysia. The partnership marks a significant step in CMR University’s commitment to international academic collaboration, student mobility and global learning opportunities.
INTI International University holds a QS World University Ranking of 406. It is one of Malaysia’s most globally connected institutions. Two universities, one shared direction
The MoU exchange ceremony was held virtually. Senior leadership from both institutions were present throughout.
The CMR University delegation was led by Dr K. C. Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), Former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chairman of the CMR Group of Institutions and CMR University. He was joined by Chancellor Dr Sabitha Ramamurthy, Vice Chancellor Dr H. B. Raghavendra, Registrar Dr K. E. Prakash, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology Dr N. Kannan and Director of the Office of International Relations Dr Raja Krishnamoorthi.
INTI International University was represented by Pro Vice Chancellor (Global) Prof. Dr. Goh Khang Wen and Director of the International Department Mr. Asokan Vasudevan.
The discussions that followed the signing were substantive. Both institutions outlined key areas of collaboration including student exchange programmes, joint research projects, international conferences and collaborative academic initiatives. The framework is broad because the ambition behind it is broad.
What the MoU means for CMR University students
The most immediate benefit of this international academic partnership belongs to the students.
INTI International University has offered 20 seats for a one-semester student exchange programme. Every selected student receives a 100% tuition fee waiver. Free on-campus accommodation is included. Credit transfer will be handled in accordance with the academic regulations of both universities, meaning time spent in Malaysia directly counts towards the degree.
This is not a scholarship that exists only on paper. It is a structured pathway for CMR University students to study at a globally ranked institution, build an international academic record and return to India with a perspective that no domestic classroom can fully replicate.
