Prof. H B Raghavendra brings over 35 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic governance to his role as Vice Chancellor of CMR University. A seasoned academic leader and civil engineering professional, he is dedicated to advancing the University’s vision of nurturing creative thinkers and empowering students to drive positive global change.
Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Raghavendra has held senior leadership positions in several reputed institutions. Prior to joining CMR University, he served as Vice Chancellor at The NorthCap University, Gurugram, and Chandigarh University, Haryana.

Dr. R. Praveen serves as the Pro-Vice chancellor of CMR University, where he oversees the academic and administrative operations that uphold the institution’s standards of excellence. With a steadfast commitment to governance, process efficiency, and regulatory compliance, he plays a pivotal role in the implementation of university policies and academic frameworks. Under his leadership, essential systems such as student registration and enrolment, academic records management, course and examination scheduling, and platforms like Banner and Degree Audit are managed with precision and care.

Dr. Mohan Babu G.N. serves as the Registrar of CMR University, Bengaluru. With over 38 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic administration, he has made significant contributions to technical education and institutional development.

Dr. Bindu Hari is a distinguished educationist with over three decades of experience in school leadership, curriculum innovation, and teacher training. She began her career teaching Science and Mathematics and has since spearheaded pioneering initiatives that have transformed educational practices in India and abroad.
In 2008, she established the National Public School International (NPSI), Singapore, and launched the TISB Training Academy (TTA), Bengaluru, introducing in-house, continuous professional development for teachers. She further empowered academic excellence through the NPS Quality Assurance Cell (2015) and designed a Curriculum for Entrepreneurship for middle school learners, nurturing early entrepreneurial thinking. Her global outlook led to a landmark collaboration in 2017 with the University of Nottingham, bringing the PGCEi programme to India.
Dr. Hari is widely recognised for her expertise in succession planning, leadership development, and teacher empowerment. She has addressed over a lakh parents, trained more than 3,000 teachers, 500 middle-level leaders, and guided numerous principals. A sought-after speaker, she has delivered keynote sessions at various national and international forums and is a three-time TEDx speaker.
She currently serves as Vice-Chairperson, National Public School, and Director, The International School Bangalore (TISB), where she has been instrumental in shaping their academic and institutional vision.
Academically, Dr. Hari holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Karnataka University, an M.Sc. from Bangalore University, and has undergone leadership training at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and the Principals’ Training Center.
Through her visionary leadership, Dr. Bindu Hari continues to contribute to the advancement of education, ensuring institutions remain future-ready while upholding the highest standards of excellence.

Dr. Ravi Prakash Iyer is an Honorary Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati, with a distinguished academic and research portfolio that spans foundational and applied areas in computing and systems engineering. His principal research interests lie in device modelling and simulation, cyber-physical systems, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on bridging the critical gaps between real-world application needs and computational infrastructure.
With a deep belief that meaningful systems research involves addressing two key challenges—the Problem Selection Gap and the Infrastructure-Device Gap—Dr. Iyer’s work is centred on constructing solutions that align infrastructure capabilities with the nuanced demands of emerging applications. Dr. Hemant C. Trivedi leads the creation and management of an industry-centric MBA program at CVM University, aimed at laying a robust foundation for our future leaders.
With over 25 years of academic experience, he has been associated with eminent institutions like Flame University, Pune; School of Petroleum Management, PDPU Gandhinagar; and Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA).
At MICA, he introduced and led the PG Diploma Program in Retail Communications Management and an Executive Post Graduate Diploma Program in Communications Management.
Dr. Trivedi held noted roles including Provost at C U Shah University, Surendranagar, Gujarat, and Dean at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun.
He has authored over 30 publications and boasts extensive experience in industrial marketing and administration. Dr. Trivedi’s passion for academic innovation is reflected in his consultancy work in Technology Innovation, Strategic Marketing, and Retail. His Retail Yatra concept took him around all corners of India with his students of Retail.

Prof. P. Ishwara Bhat is a distinguished academic and legal scholar with over four decades of experience in higher education and public legal thought. He has held key leadership roles in Indian legal academia, including Vice-Chancellor of both the Karnataka State Law University and the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata.
Prof. Bhat began his teaching career in 1979 at Karnataka University, Dharwad and MK Law College, Hassan. In 1984, he joined the University of Mysore, where he served until 2011. During this tenure, he held significant academic positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Law for three terms and Acting Vice-Chancellor.
His academic specialisation is in Constitutional Law, with substantial contributions in related fields such as Administrative Law, Law and Social Change, Water Law, World Trade Law, Intellectual Property Rights, and Law relating to Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs). Prof. Bhat is also known for his work on Research Methodology in Law, and for drafting legislative bills and university statutes, which have had tangible impacts on institutional governance and legal frameworks.
As an educator and institution-builder, Prof. Bhat is deeply committed to the integration of legal scholarship with public purpose, policy development and social equity.

Anish Ramachandran is the Chief Executive Officer of One Billion Literates Foundation, where he leads with deep conviction, strategic foresight and a commitment to educational equity. With over twenty-five years of experience in corporate leadership, Anish brings a rare blend of executive acumen and grassroots empathy to his role at OBLF.
Before transitioning to the development sector, Anish served as Vice-President and Director for Intel’s Greater Asia Region. Over an eighteen-year career with Intel, he held various strategic leadership positions across geographies, overseeing complex operations and innovation-led growth initiatives. He is an alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Anish’s work at OBLF is driven by his dedication to bridging systemic learning gaps and empowering children from marginalised communities to realise their full potential. His leadership spans fundraising, pedagogy design, impact measurement and stakeholder engagement.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Anish is a thoughtful writer and lifelong music enthusiast, often found reflecting on social challenges or playing classic Simon & Garfunkel tracks.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar Routray is a Professor and the Dean (Academics In-Charge) at CMR University, where he leads academic planning and quality assurance while actively teaching and mentoring students across master’s and doctoral programmes. With over two decades of experience in industry, academia and research laboratories, Dr. Routray brings global expertise to his role, blending scholarly rigour with practical innovation.
He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Engineering from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, where his research focused on the statistical modelling of optical transport networks. He earned his Master of Science in Data Communications from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (Utkal University), India.
Dr. Routray’s research spans complex communication networks, 5G/6G technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence and machine learning, network science, and statistical analysis of communication systems. He has contributed to the planning and modelling of optical fronthaul and backhaul networks for 5G, and is currently focused on Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) deployments.
He has authored several influential papers in top-tier IEEE journals, with work cited for its contributions to optical networking, ICT for sustainability, STEM education, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies such as generative AI. He is proficient in programming languages including Java, Matlab, Python and R, and has domain expertise in modelling tools such as OPNET and EasyFit.
In addition to academic leadership and research, Dr. Routray is involved in consulting with local industries and securing research project funding to support innovation at the university.

Prof. (Dr) T.R. Subramanya is an eminent academic, legal scholar, and institutional leader currently serving as the Dean of the School of Legal Studies at CMR University, Bengaluru since April 2018. With an extensive academic and administrative career, he remains deeply committed to the advancement of legal education in India.
Under his leadership, the School of Legal Studies has established eight dedicated research centres that actively contribute to scholarly research and public discourse in contemporary legal issues. He also spearheaded the launch and development of the CMR University Journal for Contemporary Legal Affairs, which has been recognised for its scholarly rigour and is listed in UGC CARE List 1.

Dr. N. Kannan is an accomplished academic leader with nearly three decades of experience in teaching, research, and institutional development. He currently serves as the Dean of CMR University’s Lakeside Campus and Director of the School of Engineering and Technology (SOET), where he drives strategic initiatives in curriculum design, research innovation and industry-academia collaboration.
Dr. Kannan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathidasan University, with a specialisation in Digital Image Processing. His doctoral research focused on the design of vector quantisation techniques for transform coding of images using orthogonal polynomials. He also holds an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Annamalai University and a B.E. from Kumaraguru College of Technology under Bharathiyar University.
With a strong foundation in academic leadership, Dr. Kannan has served as Principal, Dean, and Head of Department across reputed institutions. He has successfully led NAAC and NBA accreditation processes, spearheaded incubation and innovation hubs, and secured research and infrastructure grants from AICTE, Google and the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology.
His areas of academic and research expertise include computer vision, image processing, software testing, and communication networks. He has guided eight Ph.D. scholars and mentored over eighteen postgraduate theses. His scholarly contributions include over 70 publications in high-impact Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals, patents in voice analysis and waste sorting systems, and several authored books in computing and programming.
Dr. Kannan is also an active member of professional societies, including the IEEE, Computer Society of India (CSI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and IAENG. He has conducted and participated in over 150 conferences, FDPs, and workshops, and has delivered more than 40 invited lectures.
Under his leadership, CMRU’s Lakeside Campus is emerging as a centre of academic excellence, industry alignment and innovation. Dr. Kannan’s strategic focus includes integrating emerging technologies into pedagogy, fostering industry partnerships, and enabling students to become future-ready engineers.

Dr. Latha Krishnan is an accomplished academic leader, educator, and researcher with extensive experience in liberal arts and higher education. She currently serves as the Dean of the School of Liberal Studies at CMR University and is a member of the Academic Council, contributing actively to the university’s vision of fostering interdisciplinary learning, critical inquiry, and global perspectives.
She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Madras and pursued advanced academic qualifications in Australia, including a Master’s degree in English from the University of Leeds, UK, and postdoctoral research in Canada. Dr. Krishnan has taught and conducted research in universities overseas, gaining valuable global exposure that informs her teaching and leadership at CMR University.
Her career spans teaching, research, and academic administration, with a strong focus on curriculum innovation, student-centric pedagogy, and faculty development. An advocate of holistic learning, she has played a key role in shaping programs that nurture creativity, analytical thinking, and ethical leadership among students. Her involvement in academic councils and governance bodies underlines her expertise in policy-making, quality assurance, and institutional growth.

Dr. T.A. Ashok Kumar is an accomplished academician and institutional leader with over 26 years of experience in higher education, research and administration. As the Director of the School of Science and Computer Studies at CMR University, he leads strategic academic planning, curriculum innovation and interdisciplinary research in computing, data science and emerging technologies.
Dr. Ashok Kumar holds a Ph.D. in Computer Applications with a specialisation in Data Mining and Analytics from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tamil Nadu. He also holds an M.B.A. in Human Resource Management, an M.Phil. in Computer Science (Image Processing), an M.C.A., and a B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication.
His academic interests span a wide range of domains including computer vision, deep learning, cloud computing, blockchain, cybersecurity, emotional intelligence and industrial analytics. He has guided numerous doctoral and M.Phil. scholars and has published more than 25 research articles in Scopus-indexed and international peer-reviewed journals. His recent research explores the convergence of AI, machine learning and blockchain in sectors such as education, healthcare and manufacturing.
In his prior roles as Principal, Dean and Director across reputed institutions in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, Dr. Ashok Kumar has led accreditation efforts, industry partnerships, and the integration of emerging technologies into academic programmes. He has also contributed to institutional development by initiating innovation cells, improving placement outcomes, and leading student-centric academic reforms.
An advocate for holistic education, he is known for designing dynamic and inclusive learning environments that encourage critical thinking and independent inquiry. He is an active member of international professional bodies including IAENG, IACSIT and the Computer Society of India, and has served on Boards of Studies and Academic Councils across multiple universities.
Dr. Ashok Kumar is multilingual, fluent in English, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, and remains deeply committed to fostering inclusive and future-focused educational ecosystems.

Dr. Bhupendra Bahadur Tiwari is an accomplished academician, researcher and economic commentator with over 24 years of experience in teaching, research and academic leadership. He currently serves as Professor and Director at the School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University, Bengaluru, where he leads strategic initiatives in curriculum development, academic governance and interdisciplinary learning.
He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Allahabad in 2007, following a Master’s degree in Economics in 1988. Dr. Tiwari is an Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) certified by the All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi, and has held multiple academic leadership roles, including Chairman of the Board of Studies and member of the Academic Council at CMR University.
His teaching and research interests span Managerial Economics, Business Environment, International Business Management, Corporate Governance and Ethics, and Business Strategy. He has authored four books and co-edited three volumes, including the notable title “E-Business: Issues and Challenges of the 21st Century”. His academic contributions include more than 30 publications in national and international journals, conference proceedings and edited volumes.
Dr. Tiwari has actively contributed to curriculum development at leading open universities, developing course material for Uttarakhand Open University, Wardhman Mahaveer Open University and the University of Allahabad. He has organised six national and international conferences and has been invited as keynote speaker, resource person and panelist at over a dozen academic events, webinars and workshops.
Beyond academia, Dr. Tiwari is a recognised voice in public discourse, frequently appearing as a panellist on economic issues for major media outlets including Doordarshan, NDTV, Zee News, Bharat Samachar and SWAYAM Prabha (MHRD, Government of India).
He is a life member of several professional bodies, including the Indian Economic Association, Indian Political Economy Association, Bhartiya Arthik Shodh Sansthan and the Indian Association for the Study of Population. He also serves as a regional coordinator and executive board member for the U.P. and Uttarakhand Economic Association and convenes the Prof. S.K. Rudra Memorial Lecture Series.
