Sri Srikar M.S is a senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service with over 25 years of experience in public administration and policy implementation. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has worked across key areas including development planning, international economic law and policy, indirect taxation, and large-scale, technology-driven governance projects.
He currently serves as the Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, where he oversees the State’s comprehensive higher education ecosystem, spanning both public and private institutions. His leadership is instrumental in driving policy innovation and systemic reform aimed at improving access, quality, and equity in higher education across Karnataka.
Sri Srikar holds a Master in Public Administration (Mid-Career, Mason Fellow) from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he was on academic sabbatical. His global perspective, coupled with deep administrative experience, continues to shape transformative initiatives in education policy and governance.
