Common Core Curriculum (CCC)

Launched in the academic year 2021–22, the CCC is an interdisciplinary framework designed to complement core subject areas across all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at CMR University. Offered as both Credit and Graduate Requirement courses, CCC is mandatory for all students and reflected on their official university grade cards each semester.

CCC is built on three foundational pillars:

  • Preparing for Success: Empowering students for careers, entrepreneurship, research, and further education.
  • Contributing to Society: Instilling empathy, ethics, and civic responsibility.
  • Knowing Self and Community: Encouraging inquiry with cultural awareness and a global perspective.

Why CCC matters

In a world where many future professions have yet to emerge, the DCCC at CMR University prepares students for uncertainty and change. It bridges the gap between technical proficiency and human-centred values, developing graduates who are not only skilled but socially conscious and resilient.

It promotes adaptability through the processes of learning, and relearning, helping students thrive in dynamic and evolving environments. Through a strong focus on life skills such as communication, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving, students become more confident, capable, and ready to take on challenges across fields.

The Common Core Curriculum helps bridge the gap between hard skills and human-centered values, ensuring graduates are not only knowledgeable but also empathetic and socially responsible leaders.
