With “experiential learning” at the core, the School of Management (SOM) at CMR University is proud to announce the launch of the specialized “Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.” The inaugural event takes place on 3 September 2021 virtually.
The Centre will be inaugurated by R Vaitheeswaran, Co-Founder & CEO, Again Drinks. Vaitheeswaran is a serial entrepreneur having launched many creative ventures including Indiaplaza and India’s first e-commerce company, Fabmart.com, which transformed into FabMall and was subsequently acquired by More supermarkets. He is also the author of the bestselling book “Failing to Succeed”.
The keynote address during the inauguration will be delivered by Tejas S J, Social Entrepreneur and Founder-CEO, Geographical Indications Tagged (GI Tagged) World Premium Products. GI Tagged is India’s largest online store for GI Tagged products and is India’s or perhaps the world’s first Company envisioned to connect all GI Tagged products of the country. The products, here, are procured directly from artisans, producers, and from co-operatives, and NGO’s thereby ensuring the upliftment of rural livelihoods
The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will support, mentor, guide, and provide a platform for students to initiate and incubate their startup ventures.
