Guidance on COVID

In case you or a family member suspect COVID or test positive, following measures may be taken:

Asymptomatic Patients: State Government has initiated a policy of permitting home isolation for asymptomatic or mild patients, indicating they can be treated sufficiently well at home.

If you notice symptoms:

1. Talk to a doctor.

2. Arogya Setu Self-Assessment App may be used for preliminary self-assessment.

Who is tested?

All symptomatic patients from containment and buffer zones with ILI and SARI symptoms are tested immediately.

Those from non-containment and buffer zones are tested based on doctor’s advice.

Testing is done at fever clinics/swab collection centres at the district and taluk levels. Samples are sent to one of the 25 ICMR-approved testing labs in Bengaluru. All fever clinics and labs send all test reports to the BBMP or the State Health Department.
