Universities with reputation, across the world, have been increasingly engaging students through a host of initiatives such as leadership programmes and giving back to society to ensure their overall growth and development. Joining this bandwagon, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/\">CMR University<\/a> Bengaluru has come up with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leap\/#\"><strong>LEARNING, ENGAGEMENT &amp; ADVANCEMENT PROGRAMMES (LEAP)<\/strong><\/a><\/strong> initiative to empower students to become thought leaders to contribute to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With CMR University\u2019s LEAP, students are trained to become \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leadership\/\"><strong>global thought leaders<\/strong><\/a>\u201d through custom <strong>academic programmes<\/strong> such as co-curricular activities, <strong>experiential learning,<\/strong> and by establishing student-centric learning environments to enable diverse opportunities for community building and leadership. At CMR University, a dedicated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/about\/\"><strong>Office of Student Affairs (OSA)<\/strong><\/a> with focus on student welfare is in charge of driving LEAP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/cmruprograms\/\"><strong>academic programmes<\/strong><\/a><\/strong> are primarily focused on ensuring a plethora of learning opportunities, skill enhancement workshops, <strong>leadership programmes<\/strong>, and transformative experiences for students during their time on campus. At <strong>CMR University<\/strong>, students are also empowered to contribute to society as they are imparted a thorough understanding of the community and society.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OSA, at CMR University, offers LEAP across six streams viz:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leap\/#\"><strong>INTERDISCIPLINARY EDUCATION &amp; INNOVATION&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leap\/#\"><strong>LEADERSHIP, MENTORSHIP &amp; TRAINING<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leap\/#\"><strong>COMMUNICATION &amp; WRITING<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leap\/#\"><strong>CMRUxCommunity<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leap\/#\"><strong>SOCIAL IMPACT<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/leap\/#\"><strong>STEP ONE<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These initiatives are designed to ensure that students are empowered with life skills and e<strong>xperiential learning <\/strong>along with their academic skillsets. Also, with dedicated focus on learning-by-doing, the Design Thinking approach at CMR University also hogs the limelight as students get to analyze real-world problems from multiple angles and thereby use multiple design mechanisms to solve these problems and contribute creatively to nobler causes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this juncture, admissions are open for the<strong> academic programmes<\/strong> for the year 2021-22; all the academic programmes offered at CMR University are blended with modules of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmr.edu.in\/schools\/school-of-design\/\"><strong>Design Thinking<\/strong><\/a> and Experiential Learning.
